It was a weekend to get away. As I mentioned, the hubs needed a break, so in a super spur of the moment decision we packed our bags, rented a car, and headed north to met up with some of our dearest friends at Trinity Lake. Coincidentally, we had a few groups of good friends up at the lake for the long holiday weekend, so we had quite the crew.
It was a weekend of boating, tubing, barbecuing, and sun bathing. Basically everything you want in a 4th of July holiday. We speed around the lake, explored secret swimming holes, and played a version of water polo with a watermelon for a ball (as you do). We came home sunburned and a bit banged-up (scratches, bruises, you know, the usual), but relaxed and happy. I think it was just what we needed.
