Well, according to the cracker jack team at Into the Gloss, you should be. The major power players are all rolling out their Spring 2014 ads and this fully manicured look is featured - prominently. "So far 10 major fashion houses have employed the slick style in their campaigns: Versace, Valentino, Givenchy, Miu Miu, Missoni, and Prada."
Personally, I'm all about it. A straight blow out plus a finish with a flat iron is much easier in my opinion than a bouncy blow out and a curling iron show down. The Into the Gloss team recommends "cleansing and conditioning with Redken’s Diamond Oil collection, blowdrying with a flat, boar-bristle brush, and smoothing flyaways with a spritz of Balmain's weightless Silk Perfume, or ... with a few drops of Aesop Shine."
