It's the first friday of 2014 - let's toast to that with something sweet and celebratory.

The Entente Cordiale

Ingredients: 

• 2 oz Cognac or Brandy
• 1/2 oz St-Germain
• Champagne
• Lemon Juice and Sugar to Garnish

Method: 

Add a splash of lemon juice to a chilled cocktail glass and swirl to coat. Discard the juice, then fill the glass with finely powdered sugar. Discard this too, leaving the interior frosted with sugar. (Fancy, no?) Combine the Brandy and St-Germain in a mixing glass filled with ice, stir until chilled, and then strain into the sugared glass. Top with champagne and serve. Yummy!
