Looking for a customized facial you can do at home? Why not give Muji Compressed Facial Mask Sheets a go? These sheet masks can be used on any skin type, customized to fit your specific concern(s). You'll just need a Muji sheet and a toner or DIY mixture of your choosing. Simply soak one of the compressed sheet tablets with your toner, wring slightly, apply to a cleansed face, and remove after a few minutes. BOOM - easy peasy. Sheet masks are great, because they allow for a liquid to have prolonged contact with your skin so you can really soak up the benefits.
But what toning mixtures should you try? Refinery29 has you covered:
For dry skin, try a mixture of coconut water, five drops of coconut oil, and half a teaspoon of honey. According to Elena Arboleda, head aesthetician at Mario Badescu, coconut oil and water are naturally hydrating, while honey helps to lock moisture into the skin.
For sensitive skin, a cool cup of chamomile tea mixed with one tablespoon of aloe vera gel and three drops of olive oil will calm any redness or irritation. The aloe vera gel in combination with the olive oil is a surefire way to combat any dryness as well.
For an acne-prone complexion, try a mixture of 1/4 cup of witch hazel, 3/4 cup of water, and one teaspoon of aloe vera gel. “Witch hazel has been used for centuries to aid troubled skin, and since acne is often accompanied with irritation, a bit of aloe vera gel will help to soothe that irritation and redness,” explains Arboleda.
There you go - a DIY facial you can handle with ease.
