Bubbles

Monday, January 6, 2014

Angela Kelly and her son were spending a frigid winter's day at their home in Washington, when the temperatures dipped below 16 degrees. Probably as a result of cabin fever, Kelly got a crazy idea ... bubbles!

She and her son mixed up some bubble juice and ventured out to see what happens when you blow bubbles in the freezing cold.

The results are just beautiful. Some bubbles froze as they hit the ground, most froze over night, and then thawed slowly as the sun come up, some deflated or broke, but they were all lovely. Such a simple idea, but they're magical, right? Delicate, fleeting, and precious - like most things in life.
