So we all know the traditional parties that accompany a wedding: engagement party, bridal shower, bachelor party, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner. But what if we shook it up?

The Cut recently posted this article about the parties we should throw. Here are a few of my favorites:

• Moving out of my mom's basement party
• I'm not pregnant party
• Re-bachelorette party (after a break up)
• Pre-cohabitation shower
• Student loan repayment day

I would also add:

• Cat christening party
• I changed my last name party
• I started exercising again party 
• We're DINKS party
• The stock the bar shower
