Hot, hot, heat. In most places, San Francisco excluded, summer means heat. Heat means sweat, and sweat isn't always the best for your face. So how does one stay fresh faced when faced with rising temperatures? Not to worry, LC has you covered. Here are her five tips for keeping yo cool:
Prep with primer: look for a primer that contains silicone, which will act as a barrier between humidity and your skin, helping to keep those little sweat moisture beads at bay.
Choose a silicone-based foundation: the longest wearing and the best option when there's a lot of moisture in the air.
Keep it creamy: use a cream eye shadow shadow and cream-based blush instead of a powdery one. Cream products give you a nice, natural \ glow and won’t get cake like powder options can. Look for long-wear versions for added insurance.
Use a waterproof concealer: a densely pigmented, waterproof concealer will hide dark circles and blemishes, even in extreme heat, and will last longer than a more watery version that you'll have to reapply by lunch.
Lash out: for defined lashes and liner that won’t run, use a look for waterproof options here too, a waterproof liquid liner and waterproof mascara will last you from your morning latte to your happy hour date.
