Marchesa's Parfume d’Extase

I'm typically a Marc Jacobs gal when it comes to perfumes - alternating between Lola in the winter and Oh Lola in the summer, both are pretty, feminine scents. But lately I'd found my self looking for something ... special. Which is exactly what this Marchesa scent is. The perfume opens with notes of iris, freesia and violet leaves, gives way to night-blooming jasmine, then closes with subtle notes of iris root, ambrox and musk. Lovely. The bottle, inspired by the crystal closures on Marchesa's hand bags, also looks lovely setting on a dressing table or night stand.

Obviously all perfumes have to mix with your unique body chemistry, so you never know how a scent will work for you until you try it - but for me a little spritze of this and I feel ... special.

  2. Always on the lookout for new scents. I buy a new one every year around Christmas time. :) Thanks for the rec!
