Thursday's Tidbits

Maybe it's a side effect of living in an appartment and not having a yard, but I love me a house plant. Right now I think we have about six house plants, three terrariums, several air plants, and two flower arrangements - keep in mind that our place isn't that big. One of these house plants lives in the bathroom (she likes the shower steam) - that's how far this has progressed. Meh, there are worse things in my opinion.

Adopting a house plant, however, is not to be taken lightly. Sure, they are pretty and add a certain something to your pad, until you get busy and forget to water them, or a cat knocks one over, or for whatever reason they die and need to be composted. Sad face.

You can lessen your chances of finding yourself in this disappointing situation by picking a few "hard to kill" starter plants. Rubber plants, watermelon peperomias, peace lilies, succulents, Chinese evergreens, and neon pothos are all good options. Any good house plants you'd add to the list?

  2. And there's something refreshing about having a green plant in your space. Also, love the red heels in the other post. Thanks for posting and feel free to drop by me too soon.
