Thursday's Tidbit

I'm filing this under: it's weird, but it works.

Recently, as my skin has changed from teenaged to adult, I've developed some sensitivity that I've never had before - joy. A fun side effect has been the occasional redness, which I've dealt with mainly by using concealer. But now I have a better solution: this green Smashbox primer to neutralize any redness.

Green and red are complimentary colors - yes, we know this. So a little bit of one color will neutralize the other. This works with paint, so why wouldn't it work on your face? Well, it would.

It feels and looks a little like spreading guacamole on your face, but once it's blended, the green hue is gone and you're left with a smooth even canvas. Nice right? I thought so too.

  1. I LOVE Smashbox's Photo Finish. I never leave home without having slathered it on my face for oil control. :)

  2. I haven't tried this particular one, but I do have the normal, the light and the hydrating version and I like those :-)
